Serial Number

MANDATORY

Unique identification number for this specific machine

Enables individual traceability for recalls and maintenance

Year of Construction

MANDATORY

Year when manufacturing process completed

If multiple years: year when manufacturing process started

Rated Power/Operating Specifications

MANDATORY

Power rating (kW), voltage (V), current (A), frequency (Hz)

Example: "15 kW, 400V, 50Hz, 3-phase"

Machine Weight

MANDATORY

Total mass in kilograms (most common configuration)

Important for transport, installation, and foundation design

Country of Origin

MANDATORY

Country where machinery was manufactured

2. EU Declaration of Conformity

Article 21 - Mandatory conformity declaration requirements

Harmonized Standards Applied

MANDATORY

List of EN/ISO standards used to demonstrate conformity

Notified Body Details (if applicable)

MANDATORY for Annex I high-risk machinery

Name, number, and certificate details of notified body

Required for high-risk machinery (lifting equipment, certain power presses, etc.)

Authorized Representative Signature

Signature of person empowered to bind manufacturer

Must include: name, function, date, and place of signature

3. Technical Documentation (Annex IV)

Must be retained for 10 years and provided to authorities on request

Risk Assessment Documentation

MANDATORY

Complete risk assessment per EN ISO 12100

Must identify ALL hazards and protective measures taken

Required Elements: Hazard identification, risk estimation, risk evaluation, risk reduction measures

Technical Drawings & Diagrams

General assembly drawings, control circuit diagrams, hydraulic/pneumatic schematics

4. Cybersecurity Requirements

Cybersecurity Risk Assessment

MANDATORY for connected machinery

Assessment of cyber threats that could cause dangerous events

If no dangerous event possible → minimal requirements apply

Scope: Protection against unauthorized access, manipulation, cyberattacks
Note: Additional CRA (Cyber Resilience Act) requirements may apply

Security Update Policy

MANDATORY for connected machinery

Commitment to provide security updates for 10 years minimum

May require new business models for ongoing software support
